Lupus Cutaneous Erythematosus Study
Focuses on individuals with skin manifestations of lupus, aiming to test innovative treatments, monitor skin health, and improve patient comfort and quality of life.
1. Skin Evaluation and Imaging
Uses thorough skin exams and imaging to document rashes, lesions, and affected areas.
Tracks changes and healing progress during treatment.
2. Symptom and Impact Monitoring
Evaluates pain, itching, lesion severity, and the impact on daily activities.
Provides regular assessments to measure both physical and emotional wellbeing.
3. Immune Marker & Inflammation Testing
Monitors blood biomarkers for autoimmune activity and inflammation.
Assesses patient response before, during, and after therapeutic interventions.
4. Clinical Therapy and Topical Trials
Offers new pharmaceutical and topical treatments designed to control symptoms and prevent flare-ups.
Ensures continuous supervision from medical specialists for therapy safety and effectiveness.
Eligible Participants Are
18 to 75 years of age
Diagnosed with cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) or systemic lupus with skin involvement
Currently experiencing active skin rashes or lesions
Not currently using certain immunosuppressive medications (restrictions may apply)
Willing to undergo skin biopsies and regular blood tests
